As we reach the end of dry season, the effects of no rain for months becomes more prevalent. The water levels remain low and with the beginning of school, more water is used without being replenished. This summer, we worked towards gaining another well. Our first effort produced a dry well, and since then have been trying to find water so we can dig again. Side note: to find water, a man comes with a coconut and walks around campus. If the coconut tips from his hand, it means a water source lies beneath him. We have been waiting for this man to come so we can dig. Currently, the water tanks are at half and the likelihood of running out is high. If this happens, we will need to hand pump water and carry it to school.
Please pray the coconut man comes soon and that he can find water. Pray for the staff as we prepare for life without water. That we keep our eyes on Jesus, our provider and continue to trust Him in the times of plenty and of drought.
“I lift my eyes up to the hills – Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, The Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121: 1-2
